About the role:
Christy Sports is looking for an experienced Assortment Planner to help form our Assortment Planning team. This is a critical role to help us both transition from manual processes/system to fulsome use of our assortment planning tool and develop the ongoing process. As an Assortment Planner at Christy Sports, you will be responsible for working in our assortment planning tool to generate plans at the style color level. This extremely collaborative role consists of partnering with Visual Merchandising, Planning and Buying teams to create and maintain ideal store assortments across a dynamic range of stores and Ecommerce.
Essential Functions:
Assortment Strategy and Guidelines
Participate in the formulation of preseason strategies with Planning and Merchandising
Actively participate in assortment development and review, providing data and analysis to help build new assortments
Partner closely with Merchants on buy size and strategic open to buy investments
Actively participate in Buy Review sessions with Merchant
Assortment Planning (Initial Setup and Ongoing Maintenance/Analysis)
Develop and Maintain store clusters and ideal CC targets at the Dept / Class / Subclass level with the help of Visual Merchandising, Planning and Buying
Develop a deep understanding of the Assortment planning tool, inputs and levers to drive our assortment outcomes and inform ideal state process
Support process mapping of current/future state process to transition to assortment planning tool
Develop, transition and maintain data targets to fully utilize assortment planning tool
Analyze store cluster information making recommendations by store based on volume and space and maintain store lists to reflect any changes
Analyze historical and current data trends to identify risks and opportunities
Create a financial view for assortment productivity
Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years Assortment Planning experience preferred
3-5 years of Retail Planning experience in any discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP order entry / inventory management software a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented and organized.

Budgeted range starts at: $80,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
**Bonus eligible based upon company performance indicators
