Summary Description:

This isn’t your typical retail environment. Located inside the renowned St. Regis Aspen Resort, our store serves guests from around the world who expect personalized service, thoughtful product recommendations, and an elevated shopping experience.

We are looking for a style-savvy, hands-on leader to oversee our softgoods apparel department. The Softgoods Supervisor leads the sales floor, coaches employees, creates compelling visual displays, and ensures the department consistently delivers an organized, stylish, and welcoming experience. This role works closely with the Store Manager and St. Regis team to create a cohesive guest experience that reflects the standards of both Christy Sports and the resort—all just steps from Aspen Mountain.

This position also provides meaningful retail leadership experience and an opportunity to prepare for future Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager roles within Christy Sports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the softgoods department, establishing priorities and ensuring an organized, stylish, and shoppable environment.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to employees on product knowledge, selling skills, guest service, and department expectations.
  • Create memorable guest experiences through personalized service and thoughtful product recommendations.
  • Implement visual merchandising plans and seasonal setups that are eye-catching, brand-aligned, and designed to encourage guest engagement.
  • Ensure merchandise is accurately priced, fully stocked, clean, and presented according to brand standards.
  • Monitor sales trends, product performance, inventory needs, and guest feedback to identify opportunities to improve results.
  • Motivate the team to achieve individual and department sales goals while maintaining a collaborative, guest-focused environment.
  • Delegate daily responsibilities, follow up on execution, and recognize strong performance.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to open and close the store and serve as a trusted floor leader when the Store Manager is unavailable.
  • Help resolve guest concerns and operational challenges, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Uphold the standards of the St. Regis Aspen Resort and partner closely with the hotel team to create cohesive and positive guest experiences.
  • Support inventory accuracy, loss prevention, safety, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and participate in projects that support the needs of the store and business.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A passion for apparel, fashion, visual merchandising, and creating standout guest experiences.
  • Previous retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience.
  • Previous experience providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, or direction to others preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to confidently resolve guest and operational concerns.
  • Ability to understand sales trends, product performance, and customer feedback.
  • Comfort using point-of-sale, inventory, and other basic retail technology systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Christy Sports employees and St. Regis partners.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Availability to work a retail schedule that includes split shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The budgeted hourly range for this position is $22–$27 per hour, plus commission. Actual pay will be based on relevant experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
